I’m looking forward to an exciting few days ahead of me. A friend of mine, Sarah, is getting married. She got engaged to her soon-to-be-husband, Martyn, shortly after Ben and I got engaged and we’ve been able to share all of the excitement along the way.

Fair’s fair

Wedding fairs have got to be one of the more fun parts of organising your wedding. Getting a big group of friends or your female relatives together to spend time pondering all things bridal is a fantastic day out. It generally involves a drink or two, lots of goodies and it’s more than likely you’ll come away bursting with new ideas for your wedding day. For some, it’s also the perfect opportunity to get another look at the venue you’ve already booked.

Food for thought

Well after months of trawling around wedding fairs, browsing through Pure Weddings and many times of signing on the dotted line, it all finally feels as if things are coming together. For the past ten months Ben and I have made many decision on where to get married, where to have the reception, what colour scheme should we have (well, ok, maybe Ben didn’t give that last one too much thought), what dress to have, what suit to choose, and the list goes on.

Snap Happy

Well, after what feels like months of agonising, we’ve finally chosen a photographer. In the end we threw caution to the wind – still keeping a slight eye on the budget – and we went for it. We realised that, at the end of the day, the pictures are one of the few things that you will have as a keepsake after your wedding day.

An exciting weekend!

Being a bride is a tiring business. As well as the hundreds of decisions to be made, there’s the endless pouring over magazines to get inspiration, trawling the internet for quirky ideas and a lot of wracking of brains trying to come up with the perfect way to celebrate your big day. It is awful.
